Join us for a camping weekend of sisterhood, adventure, and celebration exploring the countryside of Worcester and the stunning Malvern Hills. We’ll be joined by Peaks of Colour, Wanderers of Colour, and The London Wildlife Trust exploring diversity in the outdoors and celebrating the natural environment through a range of talks, activities, and creative workshops. Located in a beautiful field between shrubs and trees and bounded by a river, you can find us near Bransford, Worcestershire.

An ideal location for walking, hiking and exploring the beautiful countryside, for those seeking an escape to nature. Green & Away is a unique events venue, offering groups and organisations a natural, eco-friendly and creative space in which to come together. This is a unique event venue and campsite, offering groups, organisations and individuals a natural, eco-friendly and creative space in which to come together and relax. The site is easily accessible by public transport with buses from Worcester to a bus stop just by the farm entrance. When you have booked, we will send you detailed travel directions including bus times, maps and descriptions of the route for cyclists, motorists and hitchhikers.

The fully-serviced site gives you comfort and amenities including steaming hot showers, compost toilets, a cafe serving fresh coffee and a range of teas (and cake!) all while bringing you closer to nature. Dine on a range of expertly made vegetarian food and wrap up each day with a few drinks in the sociable bar.

Our eco campsite offers campers a unique way to experience the outdoors in comfort and style.

Camping at Green & Away includes access to on-site facilities such as showers, toilets, the café and the bar, where you can experience sustainable living and working in practice, nestled amongst the trees. The weekender is based on camping.

Price: £185 - includes the following:-

*All meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner during your stay. All meals provided by Green & Away are vegetarian, with vegan and gluten free options provided with notice. We are able to cater for allergies but must be made aware in advance of your arrival.

* Bring along your own tent at no extra cost. JUST MAKE SURE TO SELECT THIS OPTION IN THE ADD ONS TAB

* Accommodation costs vary depending on whether you bring your own tent or hire one of Green & Aways' furnished bell tents or yurt. There are a range of camping options:

There's also options to bring campervans for an additional cost. There are also a number of camping extras such as duvets or fire pits for hire and firewood for purchase.

To hire one of Green & Aways' bell tents , yurts or to bring your campervan please go to the ADD ONs tab after purchasing your ticket. The cost of the tent hire is PER TENT NOT PER PERSON.

*A full detailed itinerary will be provided on arrival; there will be hiking into the Malvern Hills, wild swimming, yoga, mindfulness, and creative workshops. There will be optional tours of the local commercial flower and plant nursery and the organic market vegetable garden. All activities are suitable for beginners and those new to the outdoors.

We are also super excited to have a range of guest speakers who share our passion for bringing diversity and representation to the great outdoors. Its a great opportunity to find out more about other organisations who are leading the way in building more inclusive green spaces.

Thursday: Welcome & dinner, settling in

Friday: Activities may include hiking, wild swimming, a range of workshops, Guest speakers, campfire, music

Saturday: Activities may include hiking into the Malverns, wild swimming, yoga and creative arts workshops. In the evening we will celebrate with music from and a communal campfire.

Sunday: Yoga, mindfulness, sports day activities

*Guests will be able to choose a range of activities, but are also free to chill, hang out and meet like minded women and find your own flow over the course of the weekend. Transport to the Malvern Hills will be provided. All activities will be included.

The onsite café offers teas, coffees and juices, and a fully licensed bar serves local beers and ciders, organic wines, soft drinks, some spirits and snacks.

Can I come to Black Girls Hike?

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC, WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.

Do you provide transport?

No, you will need to make your own way there. The closest stations are Worcester Foregate St, approx 4 miles from Bransford

What do I need to bring?

Please ensure that you are fully equipped for camping at the site, including all essentials such as a tent, sleeping bag, towel, torch, toothpaste and warm and waterproof clothes. We provide bedding with all of our bell tents and yurt and some duvets are available to rent. All of the water used on-site goes directly back into the earth, so please make sure all your toiletries are environmentally friendly. We provide suitable soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner to all guests.

*This is a rough guide and not an exhaustive list. The weather can change quickly so its best to be prepared. Remember your comfy clothes to relax in as well as your outdoor kit.

Wetsuits,swimsuits and warm clothing for the evening. It can get chilly at night when camping so please ensure you have a few layers to keep you warm.

o Participants will have the option to swim at the river so please bring a swimsut or wetsuit

o Appropriate attire for the predicted weather. For all land activities we recommend long trousers.

o Warm jumper or fleece, long sleeves

o Walking boots or trainers with ankle support.
