Can I come to Black Girls Hike?

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC, WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.

What’s the age range?

It’s 18+ unless otherwise stated.

Where are you based?

We have groups across the UK.

How do I sign up?

Sign up via Eventbrite and join our Facebook community to meet hikers near you.

What if the event is sold out?

As spaces are limited we are unable to release additional tickets. Follow our Eventbrite for notifications of future events.

How difficult are the walks?

The majority are aimed at beginners, although they do vary, please check the walk category before signing up.

Do I need any special clothing or footwear?

We recommend either walking boots or good trainers, but please do make sure they are comfortable and suitable for the terrain of the walk you’re attending. We also suggest weather appropriate clothing, such as a raincoat and warm clothing.

Do you arrange transport?

No, you will need to make your own arrangements. Please make sure you’re following our Facebook Group for all the latest information and ensure you’re keeping aware of any changes, public transport issues and more.
